Tim Westbrook

Tim became a Trustee of Bath Rugby Foundation in 2012. He was brought up in Bath and went to King Edward’s and Kingswood schools. After graduating with an Engineering Degree from Cambridge University, he joined Clarks Shoes and worked in production management before joining a privately owned snack food business as Sales Director. He was part of a small MBO team which bought the business and then sold it to Rowntree Chocolate.
Together with his family he moved to Australia and became Managing Director of Rowntree’s Australian subsidiary. After the takeover of Rowntree the family returned to the UK and Tim became Managing Director of Royal Worcester Porcelain and subsequently Chief Executive of the Royal Worcester and Spode Group. After 10 years in the china business he, together with a business partner bought Royal Brierley Crystal out of receivership and he ran the company before selling it to Dartington Crystal. After taking early retirement, Tim and his wife went to Sri Lanka and undertook a Voluntary Service Overseas assignment for two years, working with a Chamber of Commerce in a small rural town. Tim has been a trustee of several charities and is currently Chair of Governors at Kingswood School in Bath. He lives in Bath and is married with three children and six grandchildren.
