Bath Rugby Foundation
Paul Short
HITZ Officer

Paul looks after our HITZ programme. His role sees him using rugby to build the confidence of young people not in education, employment or training. Paul is a local boy who studied at the City of Bath College before heading to Gloucestershire University where he earnt a degree in Sports and Exercise Sciences. Paul is sports mad and has played football and cricket locally for many years, but his passion is, of course, for rugby.
“I wanted to work for the Foundation to surround myself with a fantastic team of coaches who could develop my skills in the field. It’s great to be in a career which allows me to give back to the local community. Everyone can be more, do more, and achieve their potential. I currently work on a wide diversity of programmes, from HITZ to Inclusion, which sees me working with people who have additional needs. The thing that ties it all together, is how great it is to see someone we have worked with being rewarded, or sometimes even awarded, for the positive changes they have made in their lives. Bath Rugby Foundation has had faith in me, and I hope to give that back to our participants”
