Lucy fell in love with fundraising during a Summer on the beaches of Devon and Cornwall, raising funds for the RNLI. She now have over 9 years fundraising experience under her belt including a stint as Head of Regional Fundraising for the South of the UK at Marie Curie. Lucy comes to the Foundation with a big ambition: to raise over £1 million per year in the next four years.
“For me, nothing beats hearing the inspirational stories of how the Foundation has stepped in when times are hard and have literally changed lives. My role is to then tell those stories to inspire others to support the Foundation – whether through fundraising or volunteering their time. Having joined in October 2015, I am working with the fundraising team to build upon what is already being achieved. My big ambition is to raise over £1million per annum which will enable the Foundation to deliver more programmes, and reach more people within our local community. Our participants inspire me every day. Even when it’s a tough one! They are the reason I come to work and do what I do, so that we can fund more projects for those that are in need of our help”
