Project Rugby Coach Education
The Foundation Coach Education is for young adults who are volunteering within Foundation programmes. The coach education training sessions will develop the young leaders into qualified sports coaches. The training sessions will be a mixture of learning through theory based activities, planning sessions, risk assessments and practical based activities like setting up for sessions, games, health and safety.
As part of the Coach Education training sessions the young leaders will have opportunities to gain qualifications in sports coaching and also experience from volunteering at various Foundation programmes or events. The qualifications and experience for all young leaders involved will hopefully also provide an opportunity to gain confidence in their ability. The qualifications and experience can also provide references for each individual young leader’s CV, when applying for further education or jobs.
